All Japan Pro-Wrestling held a final press conference before tomorrow’s big Ryogoku show.
全日本於03.17兩國國技館大賽前舉辦的記者會。
Don Frye, Keiji Mutoh, Yoshihiro Takayama, and Masayuki Kono were on hand for the press event. As they will be a part of a special tag match on the second half of the show. This match is aimed to be a continuation of this years theme by showcasing the BASIC & DYNAMIC features that make up professional wrestling as a whole in All Japan.
本次大會的特別雙打比賽─「敦福萊(Don Frye)、武藤敬司 vs 高山善廣、河野真幸」，其四人皆出席了該記者會，希望能像本次大會的名稱一樣─BASIC&DYNAMIC，回歸摔角的本質及活力。
It took no time in the press conference for a provocation to happen between Don Frye and Yoshihiro Takayama, given their rivalry going back to a 2002 super fight in PRIDE.
會中不時提及敦福萊與高山在2002年PRIDE的比賽。
Frye ended up removing his shirt and revealed, that even though he is 47 years old, he still looks as tough as ever.
Mutoh himself, even stated that he feels the energy already and looks forward to tomorrow.
儘管已經47歲了，褪去上衣的敦福萊看起來還是依舊健壯，武藤對此場比賽也感到相當興奮。
Frye mentioned the fight from the classic match between The Funk Brothers and Baba & Tsuruta, and said that this upcoming match tomorrow will be better. Frye stated that he is looking to enact some revenge against Takayama for breaking his shoulder 11 years ago.
「這場比賽將會比對上The Funk Brothers、巨人馬場、巨無霸鶴田還好看。」敦福萊說道，還有，他不會忘記11年前高山打斷了他的肩膀。
Takayama did not walk out injury free himself following that fight against Frye in 2002 and he aims to reclaim that loss. He also mentioned that the referee should be prepared for the match and should just let whatever happens, happen.
2002年那場比賽的勝負判定，高山還是耿耿於懷，更對全日本的裁判說：「不論這場比賽有多慘烈，請不要中止比賽。」
This will definitely be one of the biggest matches of Masayuki Kono’s career so far. He says that he aims to do his best and hopes that this will be the starting point for even better things to come.
河野表示他將會做好自己的本份，也希望這場比賽能夠成為他生涯的轉捩點。
What will we see when these two battle tested veterans finally get their hands on one another in the All Japan ring? Could we indeed see a replay from 2002?

In a bit of side news, Keiji Mutoh was also asked about the new owner of All Japan Pro-Wrestling, Nobuo Shiraishi, and the controversy surrounding his first press conference. The question was asked if Shiraishi’s proposed talent seclusion & MMA expansion would be going into effect, in which Mutoh said “no”.
So take that for whatever that is worth, I guess we will see and know more about what is happening in the coming months.
