Pro Wrestling NOAH held a press conference for the upcoming GHC Heavyweight Championship match that is scheduled to take place on September 7th as KENTA defends against 1/2 of the reigning GHC Tag champions in Shane Haste.

KENTA aims to face anyone who is worthy to be a challenger and he will be getting that as he aims to get revenge over Haste for pinning him in a tag match during the last tour. KENTA stated that he is ready for the challenge and the push that will make for him. That he aims for a strong match and to fight through it and remain the champion.
KENTA歡迎任何夠格的選手來挑戰他的腰帶，而對於09.07的防衛戰，KENTA不單單是要衛冕他的腰帶，更是要對Shane Haste進行復仇。

Shane Haste appears to be very confident heading into the match. KENTA has recently fallen to both members of TMDK, which is why there are 2 GHC title matches this month, and Haste stated that he can smell the victory in the air.
另一方面，Shane Haste則是信心滿滿，畢竟在最近的巡迴賽中，KENTA已經連續敗給了TMDK的成員兩次。
KENTA acknowledged that his left shoulder may not be 100% going into the match but that he aims to fight through it and be completely fired up during the match.
Haste said that he has respect for KENTA and him as champion, but Haste feels that it is his time to become popular himself and become the one to see in NOAH.
KENTA說：「雖然左肩還沒完全康復，不過這依然會是一場完全燃燒的冠軍賽。」
Shane Haste對此回應：「KENTA的確是一位值得尊敬的冠軍，只是我也準備成為NOAH的王牌了。」
Whoever walks out as champion on the 7th will move on to face the other half of the GHC Tag Champions in Mikey Nicholls on the 16th. KENTA said that his goal is to claims a solid victory over Haste and then move on to defeat Nicholls and show that he, and NO MERCY, is above TMDK.
此場冠軍賽的勝出者將在09.16對上另一位GHC雙打冠軍─Mikey Nicholls。
KENTA對此表示：「先是打敗Shane Haste，再來是Nicholls，這樣大家就會知道，NO MERCY是在TMDK之上。」
Both men have a lot to lose and gain on the 7th, KENTA will look to claim his 6th successful defense of the GHC and Haste is looking for that higher step in becoming one of the premier wrestlers in the promotion. A lose for KENTA will surely be a crippling blow to himself and NO MERCY. While a loss for Shane will put him down quite a few notches for now, but not totally out as he will still be 1/2 of the tag champions.
KENTA若輸了這場比賽想必會重重打擊他的職業摔角生涯，而Shane Haste則是希望藉由這場比賽讓他成為NOAH的主力選手之一。
